Push their way upon us,
Striking us with fired darts,
Wounding us, a promise.
Sizzle, sizzle,
Guided missle
Flown into the sun.
Storming through each day, they squash
Timid souls encountered,
Burning all who cross their paths,
Not to be surmounted.
Sizzle, sizzle,
Catching thistles:
Doggies’ fur, matt-spun.
Hissing like the snakes they are,
Seething with resentment;
Targeting the bullied ones,
Dousing their contentment.
Sizzle, sizzle,
A shrill whistle
Ending recess fun.
Flaring tempers, jumpy nerves
Crush our good intentions;
Stormy thoughts break through our lips:
Mounting condescension.
Sizzle, sizzle,
‘Til all shrivels:
Them, we overrun.
Striking those we love the most,
Along with other friends;
Selfishness becomes the rule,
Supporting current trends.
Sizzle, sizzle,
As we bristle,
Serving Number One.
Whining like a tire leak,
Grumbling and troubled;
Simmering like foamy froth,
Bursting all their bubbles.
Sizzle, sizzle,
While we sniffle,
Chasing those who run.
Rude and rash, and impatient,
Spitefully imposing,
Trying to manipulate,
Constantly opposing.
Sizzle, sizzle,
And be fickle,
Branding simpletons.
Furious, the jealousy
Catches them unawares;
Proving they're dissatisfied,
Providing double-dares.
Sizzle, sizzle,
Artificial,
As we overcome.
Claiming to be a victim,
Settling for what’s less;
Belly-aching, a fine art
Performed with great finesse.
Sizzle, sizzle,
As you swivel,
Shrewd chameleon.
Sizzle not with ire, friend;
Use your passion for love.
