Topic: "Splash" 4-11-13 Deadline (04/04/13)
Whenever I am blue I turn to God
answers I get from Him are very odd.
Sometime there are echoes in the hall
sometimes there is nothing at all.

The burden I bear appears to be great
full of bitterness, anger and hate.
When I ask God for some word
It resounds and is not heard.

I don't blame Him for not hearing me.
I ask forgiveness which will never be.
At times when my sins are so great.
“I want Cleansed now! I cannot wait!”

At times I feel His answer's no
I feel lost with no place to go.
Why is it I cannot repent
are all my requests spent?

Ripping my clothes I fall down
ranting and raving on the ground.
Oh God I'm asking you again
this sin nature – please, please mend?

Once again He cannot hear
this is the one thing that I fear.
My future is growing black
the sins I have are given back.

Yet salvation is given me.
It is larger that the sea.
In it I will splash about
cleaned from sin I will step out

The living water's what I drink
as I'm pulled back from the brink.
With the Lord I humbly sup
and I drink from His loving cup.

Forever He forgives my sin
a white robe He's dressed me in.
as I join Him at the table
He gives me the strength so I am able.

He can do the same for you.
He know the sins you're going through.
He gives you the strength to resist
but your love is what He enlists.

So bow down and ask of Him
to help you from the state you're in.
He'll do this so very quick
you might think it's just a trick.

But He'll be true forever more.
Giving you what you're asking for.
Drawing you close He'll set you free.
The same forgiveness He's given me.

Rejoice in the Lord I say again
rejoice and He'll be your friend.
With His love He'll cleanse your soul
He'll bring you home
and He'll make you whole.

Amen! The message of this piece is wonderful; the heart's need, the plea, the restoration and cleansing and the joy of wholeness. A few of the rhymes sounded just a little bit forced, but the message made up for that. Good job.

This is quite lovely. You did a nice job of going from a dark place where I think many people can feel trapped in, to the wonderful light with Jesus. Nice job.

I love the story, but, the reading is awkward the way its punctuated or not. I do pray you keep writing though.
