Filling each page with heartfelt emotion
Giving a voice to her deep introspection
She honed and fine-tuned her poetry collection.
After a time of thoughtful reflection
And a careful and thorough inspection
Her manuscript ready for submission
To a publisher, she made application.
One day it came in the mail collection
She looked with hope and trepidation
But saw to her sorrow and consternation
She had received another rejection.
He felt every note and modulation
The movement of each chord progression
The sounds he heard were an obsession
Each demanding its own expression.
To each note, he gave a direction
Of beauty and depth and exquisite dimension
His manuscript finally reached fruition
To a publisher, he made application.
One day it came in the mail collection
And he felt a queasy sensation
What disappointment and frustration
When he perceived another rejection.
Call it kismet, fate, or divine intervention
They found in each other sweet consolation
They joined in marriage, a celebration
Their love brought forth a new creation.
Then with a sudden illumination
They both had a moment of inspiration
With much hard work and determination
Their separate manuscripts gained animation.
The two became one, talent consummation
His music, her words, a great combination
Through their love and mutual admiration
They now receive well-deserved adulation.
