Yellow's the color of happiness,
The world is, oh, so bright,
The sun is always shining,
The day so full of light.
The eyes awaken quite easily
When clouds are not in sight,
The heart is lightened and spirits soar
When day dissolves long nights.
God used yellow lavishly
In painting flowers' hue,
For yellow blends so nicely
With other flowers on view.
And in the fall my heart delights
In yellow leaves on trees,
The happiness that's then displayed
Will bring me to my knees.
God must enjoy His palette,
The colors He can use,
The subtlety of shadings
From which His brush can choose.
But yellow—that's His favorite,
He chose it for the sun,
To bring us warmth and happiness
And light to everyone.
For light reminds us of His Son,
The Light of all the world,
The true hope of all happiness
On which His blood was hurled.
“And God made two great lights—the greater light (the sun) to rule the day
and the lesser light (the moon) to rule the night...” Genesis 1:16 (Amplified)
