TITLE: Vision of the Covenant Land
By Colin Swann

He awoke on a dark stormy winter's morning feeling he was being raised higher and higher into space. He wasn't sure if he was still in his body. This must be what it's like to have an out of body experience. A presence was felt above him but he was too afraid to look up - he sensed it was a heavenly being holding him up there.

The whole of the British Isles (not much bigger than map size) was viewed from this great height. The surrounding waters were violently turbulent and the land was dark and stormy – similar to the day he had awoken to.

A voice spoke: O, my Covenant Land, why have you strayed so far from me? You have allowed the enemy to flood you with his great fury. Now, my covenant man, it is the time for you to stand up and combat him. You will do this in my strength and the storm will be stilled.

The scene of the Isles changed. The surrounding water became a clear blue and the whole of the land was green, sunny and full joyful singing.

The voice spoke again: You my covenant man are one of two who will gather in the greatest harvest that has ever been reaped. From these Isles will go forth the last harvest and even my ancient people will be restored in this great renewal. You, O man, are my spiritual Israel and my true anointed Cyrus who will assuredly deliver my people and bring them back to me.

I called you from the womb to be my servant and put my mark on you before you were born – I will make your mouth like a sharp sword. Leaders of lands shall listen to you and nations will be subdued by your pronouncements. I am soon to bring another to your side and you will be my two witnesses standing in the power of Moses and Elijah together, with a ministry to the whole earth.

When Gog and Magog, along with their allies, come against my ancient people, you will prophesy against them and they will be defeated in the wilderness places of Israel. After this deliverance, the man of sin will be manifest. You will subdue his progress for a season and then your martyrdom at his hand will bring in the great slaughter of my people.

The vision began to change. A small speck of blood red appeared in the heart of the Isles. It quickly spread outwards over all the land and crept into the sea.

The voice of the Lord pronounced: The great slaughter will start with you and then engulf all my people. My deliverance of you after your death will be an encouragement to all my martyrs. Many will be faithful because of the witness you bore both in your life and your in death.

You must also order the Temple to be built in haste. To be fully prepared for the Lord; so that he may suddenly come to it and cleanse it. The man of sin will defile it but it shall be purified at your Lord’s coming.

See, I am about to batter down bronze doors before you, and sweep aside mountainous obstacles that are barring your way. I will garb you with a jewelled breast plate - your are indeed a prince of the Covenant. I have sent forth the white horse as your war mount. Your mouth is your sharp sword and your arrows will reach to the uttermost parts of the earth. You will go forth as a conqueror to gain a victory for me in these last days.

Like Elijah you will prepare the way for me and bring my people back to me.

Suddenly he was aware he was earthbound again.

He lay in bed wondering. Now the birthmark makes sense. I knew it was shaped like the British Isles - now I know why!

Very powerful!

I felt that the mention of the birthmark was kind of "out of the blue", and the first paragraph could be tightened up a bit. Minor fixes in a strong piece.
