THE MIND OF CHRIST

I have the mind of Christ in me
and thatís what makes me smart.
Not some PH D degree
or Bachelor of Arts.

Not to say the human brain
canít benefit by these;
but thatís not what Godís about
and thatís not how Heís pleased.

I have the mind of Christ in me,
and to think the thoughts I should,
itís my responsibility
to focus on the good.

By reading what He says to do
then doing, itís the way,
to grow the mind more deeply.
Oh yes, and then to pray.

I have the mind of Christ in me,
and thatís what keeps me free
from being scared of whatís to come,
from things that I canít see.

I have the mind of Christ in me,
and every day I live
I need to keep remembering
this mind is a precious Gift.

I have the mind of Christ in me,
given by His Love.
It keep me grounded in my faith
by focusing me above

I have the mind of Christ in me,
and I have to grow it strong,
so my choices become easier
to move away from wrong.

I have the mind of Christ in me,
no simple feat for sure.
Itís my responsibility
to keep it growing pure.

My thoughts just donít go naturally
To His wisdom, itís a fight,
to hold on strong in the face of wrong
and choose whatís right.

But I have the mind of Christ in me.

I Cor. 2:16:b NIV

Good rhyme and meter. I think the repetition works well, too.
