There is a place I go --
A place where peace
Abides --
It is a place where
God resides --
It is a place I find
Inner peace --
It is a place
Where from my cares
I find release...
There is a place I go
That no one else can be --
It is a place designed
For God to share only
With me --
It is a place where He
And I share everything
Through the holy language
Of prayer --
It is a place where
All my burdens
I bring for me to leave
And no longer bare...
It is not that others
Cannot go there
Or visit any time --
But it is a time
That they can share
With God
Separate from moments
Of His and mine...
This is the sanctuary
Of my soul --
This is the place where
I find inner peace --
This is the place
Where from
My worldly cares
I find release...
I am reminded
That when this life
Is through
This is the place
I visited
When life was more
Than I could bare --
It is the place
I went to when
Others did not seem
To care --
This is the valley
Of God's presence --
It is the mountain
Where He reigns supreme --
It is the universal sky
That paints an eternal
Dream --
It is infinity
That I will come to know --
It is the harvest of the seeds
I came to earth to sow --
It is the place I visited
In prayer
When on earth
I wondered if anyone
Did care --
It is the place
I found sanctuary
And time alone
With God --
It is the place I visited
And shared time
With Him as I walked
On earthen sod...
Now I visit with Him
When life is more
Than I can bare
And I enter
Into His presence
In the holy language
Of prayer...
May you find
The place of peace
In your life each day
As you enter
Into His presence
Each time you kneel
To pray...
