Of your purpose
You must look
For the giving side of you --
You must look
Forward to each day
With eyes that are brand new --
You must look
Beyond your own selfish gain --
You must look
Beyond your own life's pain...
To discover the fullness
Of your purpose
You must seek our Father's will --
You must place yourself
At the very least second
To serve and meet challenges
Of those who are in body
Mind and soul desperately ill...
You will not discover it
In anything within
The circle which for you
Is your comfort zone --
You will discover it
When you understand
That you are more
Than what you own...
The fullness of your purpose
Is like the cup
That may be empty
Half-full or filled
To over-flowing
With goodness beyond measure --
For the over-flowing
And the sharing of your
Blessings held within your cup
Will bring to you great joy
But moreover to God
It will bring
Never-ending pleasure...
The fullness of your purpose
Has been designed before
You came to earth --
It was designed before
The day of your birth --
It is not for you
To question --
For your purpose
Is fulfilled
When you live your life
From the over-flowing
Of your cup
As you share more
Than you could ever dream --
It is in sharing
That you discover
What fullness of your
Purpose in the eyes of God
Actually does mean...
So look beyond yourself --
Look to the current need --
Look to offer of your cup
Abundance you cannot contain
And in your soul
Make certain that to God
You keep your motives pure
And faithful to Him
You solidly remain...
