The first month is not noticeable
Food not palatable.
Month two is oft the same.
Month three things begin to change.
And figure gets rearranged.
Month four you grow a little more
and feet begin to kick the floor.
Month five is great
Just fun, no ache.
Month six is neat and really sweet
A picture of the tiny feet
and sometimes even some parts.
Month seven, ahh! it’s simply heaven
Stomach looks like bread with too much leaven.
Month nine is here
And then you hear
The cry of Prosperity.
The beginning year
Is full of tears,
Of diapers, bottles and such
Year two is cute,
The sweet things they do,
With talking, walking and such.
Year three is hard,
They can leave the yard,
By foot or scooter and such.
Year four through ten
Much changes when
You aren’t looking and watching and such
Years eleven through twenty, oh no!
Now it’s time to let go.
The result of Time and Prosperity and such.

This is a neat concept of a child being the riches.
I agree the flow of the poem needs some work, but very sweet poem otherwise.
