So to concern ourselves with those situations and or people that anger us takes our minds off what matters most. Christ. God. The Holy Spirit. We are to be like Christ as much as we can every day.
Anger has always been a problem for me. Quitting one job beause i thought it was the work environment that was causing my anger did not work. A little while into my new job I got those same feelings of anger as before. It was internal and I did not want to admit it.
Through the urging of my wife I went to church with her. I'm not sure exactly when but one sermon hit me hard. So I kept going back, got baptised and joined the church. The Lord had begun his work in me.
So the softening of my heart begun before i knew it. It is an ongoing process but I've learned that reading the word and meditating on it helps tremendously.
Father I don't know what I'm doing. Help me to see through my anger and repent from sin. I do not want to be this way but sometimes my anger gets the best of me and I just dwell in in. Guide out of my anger so I do not sin against you. In Jesus's name, Amen.
James 1 19. My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry
Ephesians 4 26 "In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,
