"You’re not good enough, not smart enough, too flawed, and too broken."
"God can’t possibly use a person like you."
Ah, the words of our accuser ring loudly in our ears. Even our own hearts betray the Spirit within us. How often we forget that we are His workmanship, not our own. How easy it is to get wrapped up in our weaknesses, never realizing He is made strong in them.
Look what happened with these failures:
David was a lustful murderer, Gideon was reluctant, Jeremiah was too young, and Jonah was a runner. Matthew was a tax collector, Moses had a stutter, and Rahab a prostitute, Saul was a persecutor. Thomas was a skeptic, and list goes on. All broken. Each one a sinner. Every one of them flawed. Yet all were used for the glory of God.
Their new identity was by all standards not possible. Yet, David became the patriarch of Jesus’s family line. Gideon became the valiant warrior, Jeremiah spoke the words of God as a prophet, and Jonah became the missionary and evangelist he was called to be. Moses became the leader of the Israelites, Rahab is named in Jesus’s lineage, Saul became Paul, one of the most influential leaders of the Christian church, and Thomas believed and became a big-time preacher.
Truly, nothing is impossible with God.
“Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17, KJV)
God can turn your incapable to capable, your failure to victory, and your flaws into testimony.
Don’t listen to the lies of the enemy or your own fearful heart. Offer up your life in surrender and watch Him work.
You can be used.
It IS possible!
