Play it again until the night turns into day and the morning sun becomes a bright hope that would lead me back to my lost love. I am adrift in a sea of tears and my salvation would come only when the sunshine reawakens my soul through the magic of your touch. For what I am, and what I have become, are silver threads that would break by a blast of the storm in the horizon and leave my life in dusty tatters.
I hear sounds of trumpets from afar: are those the chords of forgiveness that would relieve the burdens that I bear? Or is my love but a dream that would fade at the touch of a breeze? Judge me not for the cares that I toss to the wind, for without love beside me, my life becomes a desert of needs, a dark world of shadows, and a tomorrow without hope.
So, play it again, let your music bring warmth to a bleeding heart. Play it lovingly until you break down the walls that shut me away, for my fingers can no longer create the sweetness of a lullaby, nor pen the music of the soul, nor compose a symphony of love that once brought me happiness.
If sadness is all that remains with me, it matters not any more. Yesterday's memories of love are all that shall keep my heart alive. Grief fills me with agony. I am shunned by love and alone in the waste of time. But the distant sound of your music keeps intruding into my senses, reminding me that may be -- just may be -- your music would bring me ESCAPE from the tortures of this world.
