Topic: GRATE (11/19/15)
I'm in a pit, there's no way out

A mental framework holds me back

Release my mind; there's so much doubt

The walls around-are dressed in black


Please break the bars that incase my heart

And lift the grate that holds me down

I'm trapped in fear, I'm falling apart

Remove the pain before I drown


I'm reaching up, to feel Your breath

Please use Your hand to pull me out

Don't make me meet a sudden death

My strength is gone; I can no longer shout

This is powerful. I wanted to reach through the screen and hug the MC. You expressed such raw real feelings. I loved the answer to the cry. It speaks volumes. Although poetry isn't my favorite genre, this is one of my favorite entries this week.
