Indeed, The Three Sisters are beautiful. Their character changes throughout the day as the sunlight brings out magnificent striking colors and soft, gentle nuances in the sandstone. Then, as the day slowly turns to dusk, they are bathed in floodlights until late into the evening, spectacular against the pitch black background of the night sky.
But what was this? In the midst of activity, the sea of black-haired and wide-smiled tourists, our youngest son was missing, disconnected from his dad’s firm hand. Disregarding the warning to “stay close together boys,” Timothy had wandered off, oblivious to the dangers of straying from family.
Anxious prayers rose heavenward as we weaved away from the crowd back to the path that headed along the jagged cliff face. Frightened, our other sons sped ahead, searching for their four year old, blonde haired, blued eyed brother, an easy figure to spot. Turning a corner, we saw a large group of tourists spread across the path, intent on photographing another attraction.
But what was this? Our blue eyed boy, a grin from ear to ear, stood in the center of the group, – poised, giggling with glee. He had become the center of attention: the three stone sisters forgotten. I smiled. Natural wonders hold appeal, but ultimately it is God’s first creation, His children, the most magnificent work of all, who are really worth admiring, worth gazing upon, worth holding as precious memories.
Joy and gratitude welled up. Laughter and tears spilled over. Tourist-tussled, blonde hair waving, bright blue eyes flashing, he raced towards us, the full force of his body almost knocking me over, a charging bundle of happiness. Safe in the arms of mummy again. Safe in the arms of Jesus all the time!

You had more words to play with here. It think I would have expanded this a bit. Maybe even made if from your son's POV. What made him stray? What was it that caught his eye? Was he worried, or just soaking it all in?
I like the spiritual tie in at the end.
