acquaintances, friends and families,
we often find ourselves in conflict.
There are just certain words, habits,
or comments that irritate us.
Irritations can lead to
unforgiveness. As Christians,
unforgiveness is an unacceptable
quality. As Christians, we simply
keep our feelings inside.
Unforgiveness damages us as a person,
creates self-bondage, carries guilt,
self anger and rebellion against God.
Unforgiveness leads to
destruction of our prayer life,
worship, witnessing, giving, blocks
spiritual growth, and often leads to
physical problems. When irritations
cause us to be unforgiving, we must
quickly acknowledge it, take
responsibility for it, confess it to
God, and ask Him to forgive us. We
must ask God to enable us to
forgive. We should pray for the
person that we haven’t forgiven and
seek out what we can do for them.
Evidence that we have forgiven
the person comes when we vow we won’t
feel the same way toward them. We
must have a new attitude toward
them. We need to accept the person
the way they are and understand why
they act the way they act. It is
only through true forgiveness that
irritations are dissolved and peace is
restored. We are no longer irritated
when we have God’s peace.

The only red ink I might mention is you repeated the word forgiveness and irritant quite often. Part of the repetition was a great point to help drive the message home but you may want to substitute forgiveness sometimes for absolution, mercy, respite, or even compassion.
But even that tiny bit of red ink did not distract me from your mission. You did a nice job of tackling the topic while delivering just the exact words I needed to read at this exact moment in time. I'm grateful God chose you as His obedient servant to deliver a message to my hurting heart. Your words mean more than you will ever know.
