The next day, one of the most horrific accidents that have ever happened in our public transportation took place. I know that many or most of you saw the metrolink accident on the news, and you saw the mangled pieces of cars. The total number of fatalities was eleven, but I know that it very well could have been more if we had not been obedient and prayed. As I looked at the news, I instantly knew that the Lord had called us to pray on the eve before, for that very reason. My son is also a part of a music group and on the weekend before, they had taken the metrolink to Los Angeles to record. They were also planning another trip down on the following weekend, which was the same week that the accident took place. This accident could have very well taken place on any given day and time, but God gave warning and obedient intercessors started to pray.
Through an act of obedience we prayed, I could have shrugged it off as my son just being a hormonal teen, because he had been having a rough day. I could have ignored the call because I was busy attending to the evening meal, but I stopped what I was doing in order to pray for whatever was trying to occur. Obedience is truly better than sacrifice. In this day and hour, obedience is vital. When you hear the call of God to intercede, you better adhere.
I have heard a numerous amount of stories and testimonies of how people who would have normally taken the metrolink that day, were deterred, either by over sleeping or being led to use other forms transportation. Even the young man who the enemy used, ended up not taking his own life and I pray for his salvation because God definitely spared his life for a purpose.
I am saddened by the fatalities and I ask that all of you intercessors continue to pray for the families that were left behind, for their strength and for mental anguish. I know the feelings of bitterness that one can have when losing a loved one suddenly to a tragic death from the hands of another. We have to release those individuals because it does not bring back the ones that were taken from us. Regardless of how we feel emotionally, we will still have to stand before God and give account for un-forgiveness.
Intercessors continue to hear from the Lord and walk in obedience to His call. I know that there were many who heard from the Lord to pray and I thank God for you.
