Carry all that is at stake
To the altar of Father God, and
Willingly give all it takes.
But what difference will it make?
“You sit there in your sins”
The Pastor says with aim.
Filling her heart with pain
And shame.
She should run to the altar
And fall
On her face
But what difference will it make?
Truths, Lies, Innocence and Guilt
All tangle into one mess.
She knows she should shed her pride.
But what difference will it make?
She knows God knows it’s just gossip,
And it means nothing to Him.
All He wants is for her to call for help.
But will it make the difference she needs?
With her faith intact,
She humbly falls on her knees
And cries,
Then
Her wonderful Heavenly Father whispers
Gently in her ear,
“I’m here and know your fear
But you should know….
The plans I have for you . . .
Plans to prosper you
And not to harm you,
Plans to give you hope and a future . . .
Then you will call upon me and come
And pray to me,
And I will listen to you.”
She’s on her knees, and in His presence.
Has it made a difference?
