Placed upon a stand
Pretty little postcard
Waiting for a hand
Lovely picture on one side
A panoramic view
Of birds that glide, above the tide
An ocean cobalt blue
It’s purpose is to bring a smile
To please and catch another’s eye
And for a moment… little while
Say “Hello” or maybe “Hi”
Some might think this isn’t much
To get one in the mail
A brief review, a tale, or such
Of car trip, boat, or rail
But in each word of, “Wish you were here”
“The sky is s blue, the water crystal clear
Sincere the wish that you were near
And in a heart, are held most dear
So next time, one might come to you
Smile and know your loved
And in each single word you view
The comfort, your thought of
