Looking back at how sneaky and pervasive the old devil is and how he can persuade us by twisting words and making us think we heard words contrary to what was truly said is one of his many ways he traps us and break our line of communication with God. I was about 18 when the priest was teaching about homosexuality and I misunderstood what he said. I thought he was condoning the life style of homosexuality but going back in time he meant we are to forgive them and pray for their immortal souls.
Before I knew my Savior before he came into my heart and saved me I thought I was happy, but I shed endless tears of heart ache, heart break and loneliness. I did whatever pleased me and truly didn’t care for anyone or anybodies welfare except mine. I was always down in the dumps with feelings of such emptiness. I was so sad and blue and didn’t know which way to turn to resolve my feelings of being lost.
Since I realized to find peace, joy, contentment, happiness and freedom I had to confess my sins and turn from my destructive life and live for Christ. He died for all people shedding His innocent blood for the forgiveness of sin. Christ took upon Himself our sins and bore it to the cross for all people.
I am a very tender hearted gentle person and it grieves me that I still sin and hurt other people needlessly. I still have a wicked temper and with Gods help I will overcome that as well. I still say a few word which sounds crude and not Christ like and I pray each day that God gives me His strength to break free from that bosom sin which causes me such pain.
Now that Christ is my Lord and Savior I look to the heavens waiting for His return and I also see the beauty of creation with its various colors that are so magnificent. I am mesmerized as I lovingly gaze at the brilliant blues of the sky and the other pristine colors of a rainbow that only God brings into fruition.
It is strange when you stop and think about how God patiently waits until we are ready to turn back to the one thing that will set us free from this old world of sin. God is so loving and forgiving and He gives us enough time to realize that we need Him.
I still shed endless tears for all those who deny Christ and are perishing. I Corinthians 1: 18 says it all. “ For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” When I think of how much Jesus suffered for every man, woman and child upon this earth I cry; not only cry but sob for all who are lost. Why? Because the living breathing Word of God, Jesus Christ, came down from heaven took upon Himself flesh being born of a virgin. His sole purpose of becoming a man was to take away the sins of the world. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says it all. “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
Although I still shed tears of blue for all those who are lost I have found peace that transcends everything I could have ever imagined and I give God the glory for He is now my Lord and Savior and deserves my loyalty and my love.
