Truth
A certain tree stood in the Garden of Eden
With a long and appealing name.
God commanded not to eat of it,
Yet today we learn of our weakness and shame.
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,
thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof
thou shalt surely die. ~Gen. 2: 17

Years later, people decided to build a tower
That would reach up to heaven based on their power
And did this action with great desire
In making for themselves an exalted name-
Then downfall occurred …just the same.
Go to, let us build us a city and a tower,
whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we
be scattered abroad upon the
face of the whole earth. ~Genesis 11:4

There’s only one everlasting name to call upon, faithful and true to provide
All our needs are met in Him, and in His Spirit and love we abide.
Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made
heaven and earth ~Psalm 124: 8
Dare
Dare to live in the name of one
who made himself of no reputation
but as a humble servant committed to
the purpose of the divine vocation.
Help all those appearing to you in need
loving them fully in truth and deed.
