Although God created man with extremely imaginative minds, I'm sure it's difficult to imagine this particular scenario unless you've been there and done that. However, I have a surprising revelation for you.
You've already been there and done that! We all have! Does that shock or surprise you? Although we do not remember it - we were all confined in a dark, airless, cramped space for nine months awaiting our birth, right?
However, I forgot to mention we were warm and cozy during those nine months of confinement; but the bleak part, about it being pitch dark, cramped and airless, is correct.
I also failed to mention we kicked and elbowed in those final months, just to let our mothers know we were alive and well, and doing our exercises in spite of the cramped quarters.
After flying the coop and arriving head-first on planet Earth, we swapped out our kicking and elbowing for lung exercises a/k/a "sounding off vocally", and used our mouths non-stop for suckling, gurgling and cooing. In time we expanded our athletic abilities to "sit ups", neat tricky "flip-overs" from back to belly and then on to the crawl, the walk, the run, the dance, the ski, and some guys even reverted back to the art of kicking and elbowing in their late teens and early twenties just to make a name for themselves in certain earthly sports. (Need I name them in alphabetical order?...No, I believe we get the drift.)
As you can see, our loving Creator put everything into perfect sequence when "He formed us in the womb" (Isa.44:2)...from the very first little elbow nudge or baby kick in the tiny womb to Mankind's all around giant step of walking on the Moon in outer space.
What an awesome Creator! One who creates a universe, stretches out the heavens, spreads out the earth, makes oceans, tides, stars, clouds, rainbows... and yet thinks of every minute detail when creating Mankind in His likeness, by giving each tiny little Being in His image...the breath of life.
So is it any wonder I was stunned when I heard Senator John Edwards, (a candidate running for President of the USA), say on CNN Tv..."I believe in Evolution."?"
Perhaps if he hadn't stated he was a Christian I might not have been so shocked; but as one blogger put it..."How is it possible for a person to believe in Jesus Christ and yet believe man evolved from a monkey? - It's a wonder his head didn't explode".
And I laughingly said, "Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle."
The point I am making is: Man had to first crawl on earth in order to Walk on the moon; therefore I respectfully suggest that Senator John Edwards memorize the following:
"It's much better to remain silent and let the voters think you're a fool than to open your mouth and abolish all doubt!"
