Nor what you do for direction
Praise should be automatic
And should not be at all erratic
Not only used when things are all right
But it’s most effective when things are tight.
Praise, should be something you do,
Especially when you’re going through.
Take a lesson from the birds
Singing their song without any words
But they’re proclaiming His goodness,
Every morning they sing to excess
Thankful that they survived the storm
Willingly they give him glory and perform.
If nature knows He’s worthy and deserving,
We too should have adoration unswerving.
Praise lifts you, and takes you higher
Not allowing you to wallow in the mire
Puts you in remembrance of who He is,
Whose you are and why you’re his
This thing called recreated abundant life
In Him, with Him, there’s no strife
Praise, it is fuel for the true believer,
Created to be givers not just receivers.
Every past victory is fodder for the next,
He’s still with us now according to the text.
He said He neither sleeps nor slumbers
Our burdens He carries no matter the number
Thank Him for His wondrous works
Knowing that He always supplies the perks
Lift Him up, glorify and exclaim His name,
He is praiseworthy and worthy of all acclaim.
