I’ve written this for you,
To let you know I love you lots
For all you are and do.
You’ve always worked so very hard
To feed and clothe us all.
You’re hands are ever gentle
To soothe a child’s fall.
The children say they love you too,
The times you be their steed,
The days you take them to the park,
Your every word and deed.
The clock is watched all afternoon,
Until your car we see.
I love it when, all tired and weary,
You still will cook the tea.
I guess it all comes down to this,
I just want you to know,
I want to spend my time with you.
I’ll follow where you go.
It’s good to sit and talk with you
At the end of a busy day,
Or just to sit in quietness,
And, I love it when you pray.
I love to share my life with you,
I always knew I would.
Treasured are the things we’ve shared,
The tough times and the good.

One thought for critique: watch your rhymes, some of them sound a bit forced.
Keep up the good work!
