I’m not sure which words I learned to read from which person. I do remember that Arnie Saughter opened up the wonderful world of words for me. Throwing a baseball came naturally. It was Bill Lawrence that insisted that I learned to catch that baseball going away.

I am who I am today because my world has been full of good teachers. I learned to play pinochle by watching. I learned to count from someone that took the time to teach me. Some of my favorite teachers habituated the school rooms of my life others the classrooms of daily living. Some taught me the things I needed to know. Others displayed the character traits I needed to embrace. Some insisted, while others persisted. My guess is that none of these people will recall the precise moment(s) that they improved my life. I love each of them and the thousands of other teachers that have imprinted themselves on the fabric of my life.

I REALLY enjoyed this creative approach to the topic! You present a perspective that most of us have missed and one that is a poignant reminder of all those in our lives who have shaped us.

From the title, to the list and to the very end of your piece; I enjoyed everyword inbetween. (Was that a run-on sentence? lol I should get Terri to help me.) This is a great tribute to all of your teaches. I hope they all get to read this. 'From there to here' is one of my fav's this week - awesome job!
