Topic: Walk (07/20/06)
In the founding moments of a day, I am reminded that the walk of life has value when shared with God. I too along this path recall that the foundation of all that I am and providence of where I will arrive are the result of my choice to follow Him. It is alone through my connection to God that the journey has meaning and purpose and the walk becomes a beautiful stroll.

One day God said to me
Walk with me my child --
I will take you
Through the valley
As it weaves the tapestry
Of years spent upon the earth --
He said to me my child
Hold my hand for I would
Like to show you the way
From your day of birth --
He said sometimes
The sun will shine
And sometimes
There will be rain --
He said sometimes
You will understand
While other times
Understanding you will
Not attain --
Walk with me my child
Over the mountain
That looms before the sea --
Walk with me in good times
And through human misery --
Hold my hand for I am
With you and no matter
What the course
Never forget I AM
The One who does not force --
I offer you my hand
And wait patiently
For your reply
And if you decide
To walk a different path
I already know
The reason why --
If you decide to change
Your mind and return
To walk with me
I will reach forth
My hand and hold
Your hand in mine --
Then in the ebbing moments
You and I will walk
In perfect time...

Such a precious way of expressing our walk on earth with God. Loved every word and every line - it is so true to life! Really enjoyed this, and it brought me comfort and peace. Good job!

I liked your thoughts at the beginning, and your poem was beautiful. I'm not sure you need the beginning with the poem though - it could definitely stand alone.
