Years in Glory
The day shall come, much sooner for some,
To cast off these bones, to journey on toward home,
When the chosen are called to the glory of all.
In that final time, as the faithful come to dine,
As the table is laid, for the price was fully paid,
By the nail scarred hands of God's precious Lamb.
Man shall dance and sing, His great praise shall ring,
All the heavens and the earth, made new in that rebirth,
We shall tell our story, how the Master came in Glory.
Our fears and woes all past, living peacefully at last,
Hearts filled only with joy, as our praises we employ,
Our Father's love was shown, and victory was then known.
Our Lord and King is He, that came to set us free,
Removing the bondage chains, taking away all our pains,
No more do we roam, living in our eternal home.
Within the muck and mire, we found Him to be our desire,
From the depths of our despair, we shall rise into the air,
This shall be our story, after ten thousand years of glory.
