To tell me of His grace,
Or call me on the phone,
Nor tell me face to face.
He did not send a telegram,
Or put a letter in the mail,
He was not on the Oprah show,
Nor on a sailboats sail.
The billboard did not read.
"I died to set you free",
He was not on the news,
Or hosting MTV.
He was not at the bank,
Or in the grocery store,
He did not leave a voicemail,
Nor write it on my floor.
He did not carve it on the walls,
Of some undiscovered cave,
He was not at my office,
Or at my Grandma's grave.
I did not see Him in the sky,
Or in the fire's flame,
On a can of Pepsi,
Nor at the Yankee game.
I looked for Him at Walmart,
But He was not on the shelf,
He was not at the Taco Bell,
Where I went to feed myself.
I guess He's in a place,
I did not think to look,
They say He's full of answers,
He must be in a book.
I found Him in my Bible,
His word reflected on my face,
I searched from here to Texas,
To find His heavenly grace.
Now I know He's with me,
I no longer search for Him,
His grace was shed upon me,
In every place that I have been.

His word reflected on my face," WOW.... that is every Christian's desire - to see God's Word reflected in our faces and in our lives. That line is powerful! What a lovely poem - one we can all relate to and embrace. God bless you.
