As I depart
For my destination
I realize that
This is my time
To be spent
With God --
As I ride upon
The road atop
The Earthly sod...

I know that
I will have the time
So needed by my soul
To share time
With my Lord
And to reflect
Upon His word...

It is in each mile
That I will find
Silence and time to think
As there I crest
The wave of prayer's
Brink...

No interference --
No thoughts
Other than time alone --
As safely
I pass trees and streams
And have time to ponder
My thoughts and dreams...

No one else beside me
Except my Lord
To spend some time
With me --
And in the solitude
It is there
That I again
Find my rightful
Place and itinerary
To eternity...

Time alone
Just my Lord
And me --
Time to meditate
Time to think
Time to dream
Time to worship
And time to grow --
And in that time
Alone
I discover
That it is so --
It is so
That there is no greater
Time to be spent
Upon the Earth --
For in time
With God
I do find my
Truest worth...

The short lines made me feel like I was holding my breath! I thought at the end that maybe this was a tool to emphasize a feeling of anticipation? Good job.
