It’s so easy to be the critic and judge those who are so publicly seen and scrutinize their every move. When, instead, our hearts should go out to them. We may feel so far removed from it, but I believe as Christians we should feel responsible to pray for those who seem to be floundering. Only God’s love can make the difference.
I am not naive enough to believe everything that is reported or written; but, there is enough evidence in some cases to alert us to the seriousness of a situation.
Let’s get closer to home: a loved one, a family member who is estranged, a co-worker, a neighbor, a friend…we can find need everywhere and it can bring sadness.
My prayer is that God reveal Himself to those who so desperately need Him. His love will always win.
The only way I know to eliminate the sadness I feel for those who are in danger of eternal loss is to lift up the needs sincerely to the God who sees and knows all and already cared enough to give His life. It WILL make a difference.
So, today as I lift up the burdens, I release them to the only One who is able to carry them and I find joy in believing Him for the outcome.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen –Ephesians 3:20-21
