Who would you want to police your soul? Would it be the one who created your very being, or someone who has not the capacity to save or redeem? As for me, I would choose God, who is the one who has final say in all I am or will ever be, as well as, my ultimate destiny...
Redemption's Scars
There is one
Who hears all the words we say
And notes our every move --
There is one
Who redeems us
Even when He does
Not approve --
He teaches with divinity --
He spares us
From more
Than we ever know
Or ever could conceive --
He notes our steps
And watches all
We do --
He teaches us with love
And turns old to new --
He is the provider
Who sees the needs
At hand --
He is truly the only one
Who completely
Does understand --
He formed the sky --
He placed blue water
Beneath --
He sprinkled greenery
For all mankind to see --
He tucked away valleys
And lifted earth as mountains
Reaching to the sky --
Everything He created
Only He knows the reason
WHY...
He is the creator --
He is the judge --
He is the redeemer --
He is God --
He is the one who keeps control
When the need does arise --
He is the one
With final say
Beneath forever skies...
He decides the way --
He is the one
Who formed the first
And the last day --
He is the manager
Of all that will
Come to be --
And the only reason
Mankind came to be --
He holds order
And truth as standards
Put forth for the good
Of man
And He is the ruler
Of the universe
All of which He holds
Within His omnipotent
Hand --
He is the ruler
Of the universe --
The one who holds
The stars --
He is the one
Who redeemed us
With His suffering
Saved us wtih His stripes
And bore redemption's
Scars...
He is the ruler
Of the universe --
He is perfect in every way --
He is the creator
And the one
With final say...
