“Hey guys are you sure we are on the right path. I don’t see us coming to an end to this any time soon.” The driver shouted.
It was getting dark and we were getting nowhere near the mission ground. Our guide could not clearly remember the way, but our determination to minister encouraged us to keep going. Two hours later we came to a dead end as there was no way through, looking around we could see Maasai morans having their meal by the road side. We stopped and approached them.
“Hi, we are going to Ujiri village and we are losing our way. How do we get there?” The driver asked.
“If you have no one to lead you there, I advise you to go back. There is no way through for the Bus and the route is risky and dangerous.” The young Moran replied.
Well that was it. We looked at each other for answers but the truth was here, we needed help.
“I believe we need to hold hands and pray,” I suggested
“Nice idea,” responded another missioner in agreement.
Immediately we assembled together and began a prayer, it was already dark about 8pm. Then the unexpected happened, indeed God keeps and protects his own from calamity. The morans who had been watching us from a distance approached us
“We believe you are people of God, even though we don’t know you, we will help you. Follow us; some of us will guard your Bus.”
Wow! That was an answer! Yes, God had revealed himself through them. As we walked behind them, I knew that we could not have managed by our own. From hyenas and jackals we passed by and the terrible road, (some of us had to crawl for some distance) it was evident that danger was ahead.
After walking for nearly an hour in that dangerous path, we eventually reached our destination. As I reflected on the long risky road I knew that Jesus and the disciples traversed such more dangerous paths teaching many the message of the kingdom. They went for days without food, yet their determination remained alive.
Joining our host we began the mission, tiredness notwithstanding, the message had to be delivered. God came through as fifty souls received Christ including the morans.Glory be to God!
The journey may have been long and difficult but God brought a testimony.

• Morans are a Kenyan tribe who live in northern part of the country. They are nomads, forest being part of their habitation
