A time of transition.
Says that I am not as young as I was
not as old as I hope to become.
Salt, a vital component of life.
A purifier.
Find it in food, in my blood and in the Word.
Pepper speaks of vitality, zest and spicy spiky youth.
Adds flavor to my food but not vital to life; just ask a lab chemist.
Are you in transition?
Maybe deluged by pepper filled memories
and spicy desires but tampered by the advance of salt?
Grey showed up in my mirror.
At first twas a shock, but its quite unstoppable
as it spread laterally across my temple.
Salt years can bring caution, reflection on past and possibles for the future.
Pepper years are strong in impulsivity and risk taking adventures;
an exciting mixture until salt!
