Meg and Tim Robinson are shining examples of compassion and graciousness. They had never imagined that their participation in a quiz organized by a local newspaper for fun would have changed their lives completely.
The Robinsons have lived in an Australian suburb all their lives. They have a son and a daughter. The son has decided to move out after getting a job as a lab technician with a company in the city. Their married daughter has three vivacious kids, living not too far away from them. They had looked forward to a quiet retirement since their son and daughter are already married.
Not so, however. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson involve in a very different and unexpected lifestyle now.
“Dear, the salt, please?" Gordon asks gently, "We need to hurry! Those guys must be hungry."
“Here you are, Darling!" Meg passes the salt to her husband.
"What about the pepper, Love?" Meg reminds him lovingly.
“Yes, please, Honey. Thanks for reminding! “He replies in his calmest and coolest tone.
The Robinsons don't expect to work in a busy kitchen preparing food for the poor and hungry not far away from a high- class hotel in which they had once stayed. They didn't stay in the hotel as guests but as trainee chefs in the kitchen being part of the deal for winning the quiz.
After a months’ stay in Mankathdu, they have found a new passion for life-feeding the poor and the homeless. They have willingly invested their lives and savings in the work among the less fortunate. Soon their church is behind them in prayers and financial support. The need is so great that some inspired retired couples have flown to Mankathdu to help them out.
The Robinsons are well-liked by the people they have been ministering to for they not only meet their physical needs but also provide the emotional support that they most need. Besides taking care of their stomachs, they also help those who seek their wise counsel and godly advice. Their actions speak louder than their words; their kindest acts back up their words.
My last visit to them has left me with this enduring impression that they are like ‘golden apples shining in the silver settings.’ (Proverbs 25:11)Beyond a shadow of the doubt, they each have a heart of gold!
Broke confides to me, “Life gets tough and at the end of the day, it knocks me down sometimes. Enjoying a good meal helps me when I can’t find work.”
“My kids and me eat here at the end of the month because my food coupons just run out.” a mother shares.
I admire the Robinsons for they are God’s salt and pepper that make a difference in people’s lives.

There were two places that I thought the wording was a little awkward. It didn't flow as easily at these points. Read it slowly (word for word) and see if you notice any awkward spots.
This was a good life story. This story could be used to help others check to see if they are following the leading of the Holy Spirit to do what God wants done.
God bless~
Making sure all the grammar tenses match up (had never imagined vs. have lived) might help it flow better.
I liked how you had the teaser about them having a new lifestyle, then the dialogue that made me curious what the new lifestyle was, before you gave the answer. Kept me reading all the way!
