Fierce winds rose and steep crests bore the boat down.
Death grew real and so the Chief’s men did fret;
“Wake up, Lord! Don’t you care if we all drown?”
He got up and told the strong wind to cease;
“Be Still!” He spoke to the waves on the sea.
All the air was calm and gave life new lease;
It was done just as God could make it be.
Awe was cast down on the hearts of these men;
“Where is your faith?” I was there the whole time.
I am in the midst of the now and then;
Trust in me for the strength to make the climb.
Do not fear for I will be there for you;
I am the One who makes all things brand new.
What picture do you form in your mind when you seek shelter during life’s storms? Mine is a child wrapped in a mother’s arms.

God bless~
Many times we need to see "who is in the boat" with us during those stressful rocky times.
When we remember that it is Jesus that is with us and he calms the storms, he can calm our souls and remove the fears.
I liked the thoughts expressed in this poetic form.
We all need the reminder from time to time.
