This was such a sad story, but filled with hope and faith. I used to be an RN in Labor and Delivery, the scene you described always sent me to the locker room to cry. My heart goes out to the MC. You did a wonderful job pulling me into your story.

Precious one- when we all get to heaven- what a day of rejoicing that will be- well written and you turned my eyes and heart to His promises of eternity together. Blessings- Cindy

I loved this piece. It was really well written and you did an excellent job at capturing such heart-breaking emotion. I especially liked your descriptions "The thin flannel blanket with dancing bears served as a delicate barrier between two worlds, between life and death. " What a creative way to juxtapose life and death, especially in such a sweet innocent life. I hope this isn't your true story, but if so you did a remarkable job at revealing strength and trust in God throughout.

Faith in tragedy; a terrible, beautiful thing - and so well portrayed here. Congratulations!

I can barely see through the tears in my eyes, but "Congratulations" on one of the most touching stories I've ever read and on your well-deserved first place. God Bless.
