They begin to fill your mailboxes with sales ads that list everything from clothes to shoes, radio's to iPods’, television set to video games. But no sale can beat the sale that “Black Friday” can bring! At least that is what my husband believes.
My husband looks forward to this event every year. He anxiously awaits as the sales ads fill our mailbox, and he can begin
Every year the week of Thanksgiving and the day of Thanksgiving he awaits for that newspaper in our mailbox. He sits there with his ink pen in one hand and the remote control in the other. He does this trying to watch the last minute or two of the last touchdown of his favorite football team.
Nevertheless, his attention is quick to return back to the sale ads. He writes down all the stores of the where the sale items are located. Then he writes down the item that he intends to go after!
After a good taste of turkey or ham whatever it may be that year, he goes to bed for an early night of sleep. The next morning he is off to face the lines that stand way beyond the entrance of that store. You may think to yourself that is just crazy! I have thought and felt this way many of times of why he does it. But watching him doing this year after year I have come to understand why.
There are in fact many really good deals out there! We have gotten really expensive items for almost nothing. Things like television sets, dvd players, mp3 players just to name a few.
So, is standing in these long lines for hours and in cold whether to boot really worth it? I believe it is! I believe this because of the awesome deals you can receive. It makes everyone happy for the gifts they have received and we can even get something in return for each other as well.
So this year at gift giving time, maybe you should try “Black Friday!” You never really know just what you may discover!

A few notes: be careful of using unnecessary apostrophes in plural words, and of the overuse of exclamation points (which should be used very rarely in narrative, if at all).
I liked your voice in this piece; I felt as if I knew you and your husband. Very casual and pleasant to read.
