I liked your comparison in the beginning of the oldsmobile to the dad's head. Clever!

This is a good piece. I like the way you brought out changing emotion with changing times and how moments that used to irritate us as children become our greatest memories as adults.

Good story and good writing!
I thought this was well written and a sweet story! I liked the whistles...
This was lovely and I thought you moved smoothly from childhood to adulthood and the beginning of acceptance that dad was about to take his final trip. I enjoyed the character sketches of the siblings also. Keep writing!

Are you my sister? I loved this story very much..it could be my own. It has my vote. From one note to the other, your story was like whistling a long ago tune. God bless ya, littlelight

Terri, I'm running a bit late, but wanted to make sure you knew that you were in the semi-finals for the Sightseeing Challenge with this quite lovely entry. You rated very well with the judges and so please be encouraged. With love, Deb (Challenge Coordinator)

Dear Terri, I didn't realize you had been around Faithwriters so long! I came looking at your member page when I didn't find a "craft" entry with your name on it. I wanted to thank you for your comment on my "Sidetracks" story.
Your title, here, caught my attention (since my own Dad always preferred the Bible translation "...are many MANSIONS...." NOT the one that reads "...rooms...."). This is such a precious story, so much realism in the interactions between family members and the sweet contrast between the earthly house hunting and your Dad's heavenly home. Such good writing---I really enjoyed the read.
