Raised high up in the air
Lord, my sweet Jesus
My sins . . . you did bare
A crown made of thorns
Pierced into your head
Lord, my sweet Jesus
For my sins . . . you had bled
Nails forced in and through
Your hands and your feet
Lord, my sweet Jesus
My sins . . . you had to defeat
There on the ridge
Thirsty and tired
Lord, my sweet Jesus
For my sins . . . your life was required
Surrounded by sinners
You were treated like a common thief
Lord, my sweet Jesus
My sin . . . causes me great grief
In the midst of your agony
You called out to God
Lord, my sweet Jesus
For my sins . . . He gave you the final nod
Arms spanning the cross
Stretched out far and wide
Lord, my sweet Jesus
Because of sin . . . you had to die
