Topic: birthday (05/23/05)
I feel blessed that you gave me life
On earth to live
Never thought I would say this
For a while I hated this world
What it was and still is becoming
I didn’t want to live
Suicide thoughts had entered my mind
But you came into my life amazingly
At a time no one could of helped me
I was low and depression was hitting me
You showed me that you were there for me
From the beginning
Way before I was born you have loved me
That was enough for me to live
Face the world not alone but with you
To enjoy this life you gave me


Through all the trials and tribulations
I am thankful that a birthday comes and goes
You have taught me life lessons and those are blessings
A little discipline and hardship is what we need
To keep us humanly and humble through life
For you have taught me from right and wrong
Given me faith so strong
To love our enemies and bless them
Who can have such love as you do
There is no one like you


No matter what is out there
You is all I care
For you I want to live
Enjoy everything that you give
I had no clue when I was young
But you have shined your light on me
Showed me yourself gracefully
Love, hope, faith and power
From only you I can feel
There is no one like you
I can see clearly now


Thank you Heavenly Father
For keeping and not forsaking me
Even though for a decade I strayed
You were there to keep me straight
You showed me the way
You gifted me to write as I say
Jesus my saviour and Lord
Thank you for dying for me
Sacrificed for the children of God
You let yourself be crucified for me
So you can take my sin and burden away
Jesus you saved me!
No matter what I do I could never repay you
I am unworthy of your love


Dear Father
Because of your love
I have hope and joy when each birthday comes by
You have given me more than just this life
You have given me the Holy Ghost Spirit
Who continuously ministers in me
Works and shines through me
Takes all my pain and suffering
Grief that I can’t overcome alone
Gives me faith, love and wisdom
Which is what I need to conquer
The evil one’s plan
Enjoy my life on earth


I can’t imagine if I didn’t know you
My life will be a misery
Not worth living at all
There is nothing the world can offer me
That would satisfy me
Eternal life is what you have given me
A birthright that no one
Not even the devil can take from me
I am saved and I have you
That is the present I have from you
For each birthday I am grateful to you
One day I hope to see you
Dwell in the presence of you
My Heavenly Father I love you

i can almost feel your emotions as you tought it through this poem, a poet puts their soul into there verses, you captured that feeling.
