TITLE “LORD TAKE MY HANDS”
“Mary, please come here and help me,” Martha called out while stirring a big pot of food. There was no response after five minutes, so she called again.
“Mary do you hear me? I need you to set the table. Do hurry up.”
“I am coming please wait.” Mary responded
Martha was getting stressed as she had a large number of guests waiting in the living room. It was almost time to serve and there were many more things to be done. She had hoped that her younger sister would pitch in and do her share. Mary loved to socialize and be in the limelight rather than do her chores in the background. There was no sign of Mary so Martha went to the front of the house and found Mary sitting at the feet of the Master and listening to Him. Martha naturally was upset, she complained to Jesus that her sister was not helping her and requested that He be concerned and send her to the kitchen. Jesus looked at Martha and rebuked her for her anxiety over material things. He said that Mary had chosen the spiritual things which were far better.
Martha was confused at this point. Here she was trying to be hospitable and entertain Jesus and His disciples, working endlessly the past two days. She was told that her priorities were wrong. How could you help Martha see the truth? Every housewife could sympathize with Martha knowing the stress involved in being a good hostess. We know that serving meals for about 20 people at a time calls for a lot of culinary skills.. Martha was gifted to entertain and use her hands and head to serve the Lord. It is obvious that Martha obeyed the Master. She soon joined the others at the feet of Jesus. Learning from God’s word needs to be the priority of every Christian.
“Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.” Mathew 6:33 KJV
We have a Heavenly Father who deserves our best. The first command given to us emphasizes the importance of giving Him our all. He gives us many gifts to serve Him.
Some have a gift like Martha to serve and entertain. Others work with their hands like Dorcas who made garments for the poor and needy at Joppa (Acts Ch 9). Some have the gift of lending a helping hand to the sick or sorrowing around them. Often the gift of service is exercised behind the scenes and may go unnoticed by man, but the Lord will reward. An important question one needs to ask is, “Am I doing it as unto the Lord or for praise of man?”
There are some who have a gift of service but do not use it to edify the other members of the church. They hide their talents under a bed or bushel and do not use it to glorify the Lord. May our hearts give first preference to spiritual issues and then may our hands be used for the glory of His Name.

There's some missing punctuation in a few of the early sentences--easy to miss, and easy to correct with one more edit. I like the fact that you gave an example before the teaching part of the devotional.
