There is a final desire
To be answered
By the soul...
It meets its end
After birth --
After teenage years --
After young adult life --
After mid-life --
And
After we are very old..
It is answered
When we meet
Our Heavenly Father
Above --
Where we will share eternity
Harbored in the arms
Of His Perfect Love --
Where human desire
Takes second place --
Where we will arrive
And find ourselves
In Our Father's
Warm embrace...
It is true
That if we look
Within the heart
That DESIRE
Will never find
True fulfillment
Until Heaven's start --
There we will discover
That DESIRE
Had its place
Within this sphere
But
Its truest meaning
Is not understood
Until the end
Of the earthly year...
DESIRE
Finds its answer
To the earthly mind
When we arrive
Across the eternal line...
The answer maybe
That desire
Was created
To inspire us
To know the nature
Of the Savior of all
And for us to realize
That when we
In this life
Did stumble
That there was
ONE
To prevent our fall --
The ONE who
will greet us
At the edge
Of eternity
After
His Final Call...
