A lovely story. Children may not understand how it echoes God's protection, but its Biblical theme and its use of a familiar character would keep their interest. Good job!
Different take on David the shepherd.

Your story gives an in-depth look into the life of a shepherd. Older children could learn more about David and better understand the miraculous things God helped him achieve as a boy.
Congratulations! I am so happy for you. A well deserved win. Great story.

Congratulations. It's nice for kids to read more about what David did before he killed the giant.
Congratulations hon and great job. I like Bible stories written in a way that people, especially children can be newly enlightened and have a little keener perspective of our forefathers in Biblical history. Your characters are rich and described well. Thank you for your devotional messages as well. I love them and often browse through them. Also, one more thanks hon for your kind encouraging comments on some of my submissions, like Smelly Revenge and latest challenge entries like A Tale By Serenada The Cicada. Enjoy your win, you deserve it Janice!Good name too-since i share in the Proper Name.Wink,:0) God bless your day hon, Janice
