When I look at a piece of art, what I see depends on where I stand. If I stand to close, I can't take it all in and see the big picture. If I stand to far away I may miss some small detail. I must stand at a mid-point.
From here I can see the sutle shadings of color that heighten the beauty of the piece. I can also take in all the minute details of what is going on.
We are God's art work and where we stand depends on how we view Him as the artist. If we stand to close we may miss the big picture of what He has planned for us. If we stand to far away we may completely miss every little detail he has put before us.
We must choose that mid-point and stand there to let the beauty of art enhance our horizons. We also must stand there so we can see what God has planned for us in our Christian journey.

Great devotional! Good easy to understand way of explaining your point! Only suggestion I have is to spell to 'too' - otherwise very nicely done - but maybe try to add a few more words through more examples or something next time - though I know a place that looks for short devotionals where this might work:)

Your simplicity again shocks me! Lol, I admit that it might take me two or three pages worth of babble to come to the point so precisely as you have here. You are economically-sound in everything I've read of yours so far. That's a gift within a gift, you know?
