Daring you to touch it with your melody
As your melodious voice cascades down
It touches places no one can see.
As you bare yourself through the lyrics and lines
I watch as you fill my heart with truth
Something so poetic and introspective
It goes beyond time and it moves
You reach down and
Show me who you really are
Your truth is so inspiring
But my soul only reaches out so far
Years of fear, days of sorrow
Hand of hurt and hearts of lies
Have surrounded my soul
And it just wants to hide
Let’s be gentle now
These places aren’t used to the touch
Let’s be careful
I’m afraid I’ll loose too much
The words you say slowly surround
My Peace I give, My forgiveness is for you
I was acquainted with grief and filled with sorrow
Listen as you see the truth
My soul cries out
The precious gift of my being
I give it to You Lord
I realize the truth I am seeing
My soul is reaching out
Singing a new melody
Worship the Lord on high
I want the world to see.
