We gather round the table to listen to the Word.
Where every voice is given a chance to say what they had heard.
For when we come together though sometimes it may be dark.
The Word brings out this brilliant light that shines from each oneís heart.

We laugh, we cry, we analyze, how can we understand?
When the Word was put to paper long ago in a distant land.
But are we not to question what this means to us each day?
Allowing the Light to reveal Himself proving He is our only way.

Why do we complicate our lives with what-ifs and supposes?
And wrap ourselves around the thorns without regard to the roses.
Must we always have the answers and control what we know not?
Surely, it would be much better on our knees, to give more thought.

Just look around and contemplate who designed what we call home.
Did you or I have a hand or say with where the buffalo roam?
Can we make the sun rise each dawn or the moon, come out at night?
You and I both know who can, of course, indeed, it is the Light!

Oh, how I do look forward to these Thursdayís, donít you see.
To listen and to feel just what the Word is saying to me.
My spirit has grown in leaps and bounds from these weekly rendezvousí
The ladies share their wit, their wisdom and I always learn something new.

Although the Light shines everyday for me and all the gals.
Without these Thursday mornings, we would only be good pals.
But sharing Godís Word in a circle of faith has taught me to discern.
By not always rushing to judgment; thatís what I now have learned.

I hope and pray that you may find a day when comes the Light.
Into your heart, your mind, your soul and for you, it is just right.
For by now, you must have guessed that Jesus is the Way.
He is the Light, He is the Truth, on any given day.

This flows beautifully and is loaded with food for thought. Beautiful message from beginning to end--my favorite line is:
And wrap ourselves around the thorns without regard to the roses.
Great job.
