Another Way

Hating the life,
She lived it.
Mastered the art
“A little here, a little there.
And then withdraw.
Build the interest.
Surprise, enticement
That’s the draw.”
Just turn off your mind.

Better than that,
Change channels.
Think other thoughts…
That TV preacher,
“All will be exposed!”
Me???
Relief
Just to be me.
Loved, just for me!

YOU THERE! Show a little more!
Look alive!
Was there really a way out?
Exposing all to Him…
Could He forgive
And still love?

Sunday school
So long ago…

Early morning
Walking the streets
The old Father in his black robe
A young-old girl child
Sitting on the corner
Come! Let me cover you.
You’ll die of exposure!
I’ll tell you a story
About Love.

A story about a Father’s love
Who sent His Son
To Save.
To cover those exposed,
Covering their sins
With His Blood.
Because the Father,
And the Son,
So Loved
