The simplest things in life are expressed even more.
Which add up to the big things in life,
We have choices but sometimes with a price.
Some come easily...
We either rejoice by singing.
Or be discouraged over each little incident,
That comes down the pike of being discontented.
It's how we look at things with a thought...
Before you know it we are caught.
We get caught up in our attitudes,
Which fills our mind with self gratitude.
How did my thoughts come this far?...
What was I thinking of?
It gets to be contagious,
What brought on my aggravation?
It just started out as one simple thing...
In my mind it grew bigger and bigger from the beginning.
Life sometimes throws us a curve.
And somehow we become unnerved.
The tongue lashes out...
In anger no doubt.
Thinking life is unfair,
Nobody really cares.
Then with time...
We begin to whine.
We mumble and complain,
It's hard to explain.
When we know farewell...
Our tongue begins to tell.
What is in our hearts,
Our thoughts accepted lies even from the very start.
Jesus made it simple...
He does not ask for perfection when we are sinful.
Only, that we believe on the Lord, Jesus Christ.
Repent of our thoughts and our ways in this life.
Yes, there are times...
That we become carnal and whine.
With self justification,
It is with Christ we have broken relations.
But we as His children can...
Praise God with our lips on one hand.
Then complain in the same sentence,
Out of the mouth comes discontentment.
I seem to realize with each given sign...
The matter of fact we can all be unkind.
Forgive us Lord for our inconsistencies,
Bring us back to repentance and Your cleansing.
We cannot do it without You...
As our guide through God's word in His truth.
Help us to remember the simplest things,
The joy of remembering that it brings.
For the simplest things...
Is what makes the world a better place through believing.
“For all things work together for good to them that love God,
That are called according to His purpose" through Christ Jesus to whom we belong.
“Old things are passed away...
All things become new” in each new day.
We receive the mind of Christ,
When we die to self in this life.
We bring glory to His Name...
To be like minded one in the same.
Rejoicing in His love,
In His gentle ways, even as the dove.
Rejoice evermore...
“Pray without ceasing.”
A love that is heaven bound,
Someday to receive a crown.
Keep believing and confessing with your tongue...
Christ is Lord and Savior in song.
The joy that it will bring,
In the simplest things.
