Bases are loaded as number “7 Garcia” steps up to the plate eager, determined with an aggressive look in her eyes. Focus, concentrated, and ready to hit a home run, and anticipating ready to bring in all her team mates back to home plate. Screams of the players on the opposite side of the team, the (White Sox) yelling ay batter, batter, batter ay, firmly hitting the bat on the floor tice, then slowly bringing it into position with a piercing sharp look in her eye she swung a practiced shot as if she were swinging the bat to a thrown ball.
The pitcher pitches the first pitch; the umpire yells “strrr ik 1! Her team mates cheering her on hits OKAY, it’s OKAY! Stay focused.
Ay batter, batter, batter, ay… as the Blue Jays try and distract her concentration. Members on her team start to clap and sing “go Garcia, go, go! ‘Go Garcia go, go! Chanting and clapping one of the members witch is her big sister whistles and shouts “woooo- hoo hoo- hoo! (PSALM 47:1) NIV Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy.
Garcia quickly locks it into position biting down as if she were grinding her teeth staring deep into the eyes of the pitcher, grabbing a stronger, tighter, firm grasp to the bat.
As the pitcher pitches the second ball… strrr ik 2!
Garcia bites down even harder, this time she bends her knees bit bites down on her bottom lip and even more eager to bring in her buddy’s, she stares more intensively with the eye of the tiger… it's a hit!! Yells one of the member as the crowd roars, YEAH! Standing up anticipating the runners coming in, the Blue Jays yell… It’s a home run, it’s a home run!
We did it, we won, yes! Garcia high fiving her teammates, jumping up and down with her arms in the air we did it, we did it! We won. (PSALM 54:4) NIV Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
As the game comes to an end, pumped up, and full of joy, Garcia shouts pizza time! Garcia waiting patiently at her table for the pizza to arrive, she manages to sit close to the pepper within seconds she sneezes “achoo!” With her hand over her mouth, and a moment of embarrassment, from almost sneezing all over the pizza, she says I’m sorry girls I’m allergic to pepper.
That’s okay Garcia, number “8 Perez” walks by patting Garcia on the back, whistling Dixie blowing her bubbles and popping her gum, with the pepper shaker in her hand, smiling from ear to ear Garcia a little skeptical watching her every move, believing she was ready to pull a prank.
I’m proud of you Garcia, you hit a home run, said number “8 Perez” grabbed a slice of pizza sprinkled a little pepper, winked her eye, smiled, then took a bit.
The team gathered around the table cheering “cheers to Garcia", they laughed, and sang, “We are the champions; we are the champions of the world.
