How can I know the meaning of my dreams and
when I awake and find them gone astray?; they
never hang around so I can ask “what goes?”
I want them to stay and stretch more time for me.
Is there a magic word or song to help my memory,
and find meaning in the dark of night and sleep.
Some days I see a scene of strange and unknown ways
that seem to say, “you have been here,” and thoughts
of former times and carefree days – no worries, tears,
or grief until my Mother was called to Heaven.
Then through the years, I learned to cope with sorrow,
and when I lost my precious son – first in war and then
an auto tragedy. But I still feel his love and one day
when we meet again up there I will hold him in my arms.
Now, at morn’, in prayer I see my Lord, my Savior
looking down on me. Also a daughter who spreads joy
and love for her Lord and family here and above. She helps
me to understand my dreams and makes them longer,
If we could only have more time to meet Him in Heaven
and kneel at the throne, we would stay at His feet
through the long dark night and sleep Awaking from dreams
of splendor in a time we know He lives, so we find a dream
to treasure, a dream come true within the glorious.
