But in a moment—a split second, that one single decision that was made—perhaps the desire to ride down to Wal-Mart, or to the grocery store. Maybe they were simply driving home from work just like any other day. But that one decision and the timing that incurred ushered in the end of life on earth for that individual. Think about that.
Truth is, every time you and I get behind the wheel of our own automobile, we are taking a chance. Will we return home to our earthly residence or will we awaken to a new dawn in eternity? Life is like a roller coaster—filled with ups and downs. The dawning of a different day can usher in new sounds. So, make the best of each day by filling it with love and laughter. Since no one knows what tomorrow will bring, but the certainty of Hereafter.
For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. 1 Corinthians 5:1
Having lost my sister over ten years ago to this unexpected fate, I realize all too often the dire consequences that may come along with the privilege of driving.
